LM6000
The LM6000’s modular design allows for easier access during maintenance procedures. Maintenance teams can service specific components without disassembling the turbine.
With 25 years of hands-on experience, VBR Turbine Partners has an intimate understanding of the LM6000. We’ve handled major overhauls, hot section exchanges, regular maintenance and implemented service bulletins. Our engineers will ensure your LM6000 engine operates at peak performance with minimal downtime.

Dedicated tooling for the LM6000
VBR designs and provides specialized tooling for LM6000 maintenance, including hot-section exchange toolkits. These tools are an improvement over the original GE tools. They are available for lease or purchase.
Maximize uptime for the LM6000
Since its introduction in the early 1990s, the LM6000 engine has been widely used in power generation, oil & gas, cogeneration plants and chemical processing. Continuous enhancements have ensured that the LM6000 remains one of the most efficient and versatile engines.
To keep your LM6000 turbine running at its very best, VBR provides comprehensive inspection, repair and maintenance services.Â
Field services
VBR provides comprehensive field maintenance and Control and Instrumentation support. This includes seasonal engine mapping, engine swaps, and on-site hot-section exchanges. We can perform these services at your location, wherever you are.
Hot section exchange
During a hot section exchange, key components are inspected and replaced if necessary. VBR can perform a hot section exchange at your location. We will bring our expertise, specialized tooling and equipment and supervise every step of the process. The OEM recommends a Hot Section Exchange – every 25,000 to 30,000 operating hours.
Borescope inspection
A borescope inspection is the only way to examine the health of your LM 6000 engine. This critical inspection lets you diagnose problems and determine what repairs must be made and when. Borescope inspections help you identify potential problems and prevent unnecessary repairs. VBR recommends a borescope inspection every 4,000 to 8,000 operating hours.
Combustor liner replacement
To maintain safe and efficient combustion, VBR recommends replacing the combustor liner every 50,000 to 60,000 operating hours.
Major overhaul
GE recommends a major overhaul of your LM6000 turbine every 50,000 to 60,000 hours.
VBR Consultancy Services can help LM6000 owners and operators make informed decisions that reduce costs and optimize turbine performance.
Mapping
AutoTune DLE reduces the need for seasonal mapping adjustments. This tool improves environmental performance and reduces operational costs. It can also reduce COâ‚‚ and NOx emissions.
Parker Meggitt valves overhaul
Many LM6000 DLE operators rely on Parker Meggitt staging valves and other key components.
As an authorized Parker Meggitt shop, VBR offers overhaul services for staging valves, PSOV valves, butterfly valves and fuel metering valves.
Service bulletins and upgrades
VBR ensures that your LM6000 engine stays current with the latest service bulletins, upgrades, and modifications to keep your turbine performing at its best.
Maintenance service agreement (LTSA)
VBR prioritizes customers with a maintenance service agreement. Our agreements can cover field services, spare parts, remote digital maintenance services, implementing service bulletins and access to our help desk. A maintenance service agreement is the best way to reduce downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
