The General Electric LM6000 is a simple-cycle, two-shaft, high-performance gas turbine that is derived from GE’s CF6-80C2 high bypass turbofan aircraft engine, proven as one of the most economical aircraft engines currently in service. It was first introduced in the early 1990s and has since been modified and upgraded continuously to make it more suitable for various types of industrial use.
Its reliability, high efficiency and installation flexibility makes the LM6000 ideal for a wide variety of power generation and other industrial applications like peaking and cogeneration plants, chemical industries, gas processing, oil refineries and offshore purposes.
LM6000
There are over 1.100 GE LM6000 units installed worldwide to date with almost 33 million combined operating hours. There are several models of the LM6000: from the LM6000PA with 42 MW to the LM6000PG with 52 MW to the new enhanced LM6000-PF+ aero derivative gas turbine that offers even higher output (52-58 MW).
VBR are independent ISO 9001/2015 certified maintenance improvement experts for GE LM6000 aero-derivate gas turbines and their control systems, auxiliary systems and packages. We have developed a wide range of solutions and services that are targeted at improving the maintenance of your LM6000 and to lower the operation & maintenance costs.
LM6000 control systems
The most common control systems on LM6000 engines are either Speedtronic or Woodward. VBR has extensive capabilities in retrofitting obsolete control systems to up-to-date Woodward or Allen-Bradley systems with all the benefits of smart remote solutions and improved reliability, availability, performance & maintainability.
